It’s been a fantastic week of autumn weather we’ve been having and thankfully it has continued into the weekend. Hazel and I have spent the weekend doing a “tour de parks” which involves taking our wee girl Ada to as many local playparks as we can tolerate in a 48 hour period. She really loves getting outside into the fresh air and we really want to make the most of the good weather before the good old Scottish winter starts to bite.
The weather has been in stark contrast to the news which looks as if lockdown version 2 is underway. Thankfully there are no plans for new restrictions on Dentistry so we will be open and offering the same services that have been available since June 22nd. This unfortunately means the we are still only able to offer emergency treatment on the NHS. Independent dental treatment and Denplan members can still avail of a wider variety of dental treatment such as crowns, fillings, hygiene services, Invisalign or Cfast. We are still waiting on further guidance as to when NHS services may start and will keep you updated as soon as we get any new information. If you would like more information on our denplan or independent treatment please have a look on the website or get in contact with the practice.
We’ve been very busy at the practice over the last few weeks and have been working on some really exciting plans that I wanted to share with you. We’ve been using 3D technology to help plan and carry out treatments such as Invisalign, Cfast and Implants. I’ve included a video above which shows a ‘Clincheck’ for an Invisalign case that we’ve been working on. Invisalign uses clear aligners which are almost invisible to gradually move teeth into a more aesthetic or healthy position. The software that Invisalign uses is incredible and uses 3D scans of your teeth to illustrate the potential outcome of your treatment before you even start. This process is known as ‘Clincheck’ and it produces a time lapse simulation that gives you and the dentist the opportunity to see if your happy with the potential results before you progress any further. Please get in touch if you would like to book in for an assessment.
Enjoy the Sunday sunshine and have a great October week if your off on your holiday!
